SYNOPSIS:

"Retrato de Carlos Saura" gives an account of the life of the great Spanish director through all his films.

The civil war, Luis Buñuel, the paintings of his brother Antonio, Charles Chaplin, flamenco, tango, Franco’s regime, censorship, photography and the entire history of Spain all merge in the intense artistic activity of the brilliant filmmaker from Aragón.

This documentary intends to pay homage to one of the greatest directors of cinema history through interviews with collaborators who have accompanied throughout his entire career.
