SYNOPSIS:

Aída Gómez is rehearsing with her dancers. The director outlines the choreography, the music, the set. Ideas start taking shape... Suddenly we discover a silhouette in a wheelchair... It is Herod, the Tetrarch of Galilee.

We are at his birthday party... Herod wants his daughter-in-law to dance for him, at any price, but the young woman refuses to do so: she is only interested in a preacher called "The Baptist". When Salome fails in her attempt to seduce the saint, frustrated she agrees to her father-in-law’s wishes, dancing a beautiful, sensual and indecent dance for him.

Victorious, Herod is about to keep his promise but the request of the young woman petrifies him: Salome wants the head of John the Baptist.
